Geriatrics Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Looking at both the complaints, both are interrelated.

As she is overweight, she would have complaints of joints, dizziness and fear of fall which would lead her to be mostly less mobile.

As she has limited mobility, sitting around with good diet, she would gain weight and hence now, overweight.

I can advise a few things:
1. Mobility even, if less should be encouraged. Some amount of walking.
2. If joint pain present, walking stick should be used for better balance.
3. Diet should be restricted with more fiber, less carbohydrate or fat. More vitamins and minerals should be present.
4. Encourage her to be socially active.
5. Family support is important for interaction and activity involvement.
6. Proper sleeping hours in night

She can continue with the medications, as all are necessary for her comfort.

Any further queries, happy to help again.
