hi,
thank-you for providing the brief history.
A thorough musculoskeletal assessment is advised.
As your sister is having bladder infection , and is under medication than it is more of a weakness of the
metabolism and muscles of abdomen.
Usually patients with weak abdomen are not able to pass the Urine out completely and the few amount of urine pass down slowly . As to which the infection is caught. Also, she is 79 l, so she will be having weak muscles and this is one of the common problems at this age.
In my clinical experience I deal more with
geriatrics and the initial complains are almost similar. I advice them to undergo
physical therapy by which they get better muscle strength in the
pelvic Floor muscles and abdominal too. Also an inclusion of general exercises improves the metabolism and immune system. We even add on breathing exercises as to improve the
oxygen carrying blood cells to the optimum to keep the tissues nourish.
If understanding of the deepest mechanism is understood in regard to geriatrics the symptoms are reduced and life style is great.
