Blood with stool can be due to the following reasons: - Piles or fissure in ano - Polyp in rectum - Infection in colon or intestines
This can be diagnosed the best by the following: - Stool tests for 3 days. - Blood tests already done and showing borderline raised WBC indicating an infection.
Hence, a course of an antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotics can help to cure the problems.
If this does not help, you need ano-proctoscopy to see for the cause so that an appropriate management can be done. Colonoscopy may also be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T Chandrakant
