Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, So I had an issue of blood in my stool about 2 years ago, and it sort of just went away without an exact diagnoses. Recently, there have been bright orange/red spots on my toilet paper after using the bathroom, but no sign of blood in my stool. The bleeding I had to years ago during each bowel movement isn t happening either, as in a bunch of blood isn t coming out on its own, but I m concerned given my history that these orange/red spots on the toilet paper could be cause for alarm. Is there something else that could be causing this, like an undigested food?
hello. welcome to HCM. see, it might be blood given your history off passing blood in stool. plus if you have constipation, it can be a possibility. but none can be confirmed yet. do the following-
observe your stool pattern and look for traces of blood. get a stool sample tested for occult blood. eat healthy, less fat, less junk, more fluids, fruits and take small frequent meals. you can also visit your physician with this problem. he could tell you further after examining you properly.
hope this was helpful. regards
