Hi my name is Ida I have a question about my son he has 21 years old aroud 2 years he had small amount on blood in his stool finally few days ago he had Colonoscopy and his doctor found infection or inflomation in his colon he start treatment with CANAZA ,he told me its not cancer ,we are waithing for biobsi result ,but I am very sad because I thought it was hemoroid but it wasn t ,I dont know anyrhing about this ,can you please give some information ,thank you so much

Do not worry much. Inflammation in the colon is probably due to inflammatory bowel diseases like ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease . There are loads of treatment available with steroids , 5 - ASA drugs , immunomodulator drugs like infliximab.
I would suggest you to ask him to have 1. Loads of water 2. Have fibre rich diet 3. Avoid straining while passing stool 4. I would start syrup Lactulose to soften the stool
Do not worry much. With proper treatment it can be kept in control. Keep in touch with your doctor.
