Suggest Treatment For Blood In Stools After Appendectomy In A Child

Our 10 yr old had his appendix removed Friday and came home from the hospital Monday. He has blood in his stool right now. We have tried to call the dr and have been waiting about an hour for a call back. What should we do? Is this an emergency situation?

Hi...this is an emergency situation and please take the child to the nearest emergency room as soon as possible. I am telling this as an emergency keeping in mind the recent surgery.
