Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son was in a industrial accident 9 years ago - broke bones in his lower back - has had 2 surgeries one to fuse the back and another to remove the nuts and bolts out of his back. He is in constant pain and wants to go to spine institute that does laser surgery, is this the best option for him?
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that your son got fracture of vertebrae for which he has got two operations, one for its treatment and another for its implant removal. Now he is in constant pain. In my view his best treatment is back excercises and analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Vitamin supplements may be helpful. However there is no harm in taking consultation at spine centre. You can discuss with your Doctor about it.Hope I have answered your query. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to help you. Wishing you a good health. Take care.
