Suggest Treatment For Broken Tibia Of Knee

hi i broke the top of my tibia in my knee joint and now have a full leg hard cast on. Ive had the cast for 4 days and although the pain is gone i feel like there are pin pricks all across my leg underneath of the cast. What is this from? will it pass? and is it anything to worry about?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thanks for seeking help on your issue; I have gone through your symptoms, and in my opinion, you need to watch two things in the cast, can you move your toes freely without any pain, and is there any swelling in the foot.
my advise to you is to keep the limb strictly elevated on pillows, and watch for swelling and severe pain, consult your ortho doc if it occurs.
I hope I have been able to provide you with a satisfactory solution, if you want to clear any doubts about my opinion, feel free to contact.
Special note- Any medication prescribed needs to be taken after consultation with your personal doctor only.
Thanks
Dr. Narender Saini
