Suggest Treatment For Brown Vaginal Spotting While On Azithromycin

I took Azithromycin 250 mg for Upper respiratory infection. On the last 2 days of the antibiotic I had spotting that was brown. I finished it yesterday but the sporting has now turned to heavy bleeding. My period came June 2nd & finished June 6th. So it can t be my period of its June 19. Please help! Thanks! Erika G

Hello,

The spotting you are having may be caused by taking azithromycin. I don't think this is something to worry about. This side effect with subsiding as soon as you stop it.
