I just had my appendix out 4 days ago. I have a history of kidney stones and today I have had brownish red urine twice. I am urinating on a regular bases (about every 2 hours). My surgeon said it has nothing to do with the surgery as it only started today. Could it be related to my kidney stone history and should I go to the ER?
Hello Thanks for query. You have undergone surgery of appendectomy 4 days ago probably for pain in abdomen on Rt side and now have Hematuria.
Was your ultrasound scanning done before going for appendectomy to rule out stone on Right side ? . With previous history of having kidney stone disease it is most likely that the hematuria that you have now is due to kidney stone .
Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis. 1) Urine routine and culture. 2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
