Suggest Treatment For Bruised Bump On Upper Thigh

I fell on my bike and had a big purple bruise on the side of my upper thigh (close to hip area but not the hip) which went away. I am left with something I have never experienced before. I have a large bump in the same area since it happened 10 weeks ago. It seems fluid filled and sometimes hurts. What is it and how can I get rid of it or will it just take time? Is it dangerous in any way?
