Suggest Treatment For Bump On Arm

I had a bump on my arm and I started messing with it( I know I shouldn t I m just dummie at times) then after a while I noticed it was bruised which has never happened before. Now four days later the bruise is darker and around the bump is a white circle. My moms saying to go to a doctor but I d prefer not to so any help?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have bump on arm which get bigger and darker after you mess with it . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like lipoma , folliculitis , skin infection or allergic reaction . It must have got infected when you pick it . I would suggest you to apply a topical antibiotic cream like neosporin over the affected areas twice a day , apply cold compresses , take benadryl twice a day and do not touch or pick . If condition persist then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotics like clindamycin , anti inflammatory or may recommend liposuction in case of lipoma
