Suggest Treatment For Burning And Itching Sensation In Vaginal Area
Hello, I am a 23 year old female. I have had burning and itching in my vaginal area that periodically comes and goes. I went to a gynecologist and she said my paps mere looked normal and it was not yeast. She said it probably was from my soap or some other irritant and prescribed a topical steroid which has brought relief but not cured the problem. It comes and goes and especially in the middle of the night. Do you have any idea what else it might be?
Hello, Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I would like to offer you some suggestions after going through your query. 1. Take plenty of liquids. Concentrated secretions can cause burning and so is the passage of a concentrated urine. 2. Avoid synthetic and tight undergarments. Wear loose-fitting cotton garments instead. 3. Avoid tampons and instead, use sanitary napkins. 4. Get your blood sugar levels and see if there is any abnormality. 5.If you are sexually active without any barrier method, it should also be checked if you have any allergy to the seminal fluid. 6. Avoid douches and strong soap solutions. Use mild antiseptic solutions instead. Since causes like infection and irritants were excluded, proper ventilation and taking the above mentioned precautions should suffice. Hope this helps.
