Suggest Treatment For Burning During Urination

I have burning with urination and went to a doctor. He said I may have a uti because my red blood cell count was 25 in a urine analysis. I only have one kidney and the burning is getting worse even with anibiotics. Tylenol does not work and niether does heat or cold .

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. With a single kidney, urinary tract infection is not to be thought of lightly.
2. Burning urination and high RBC indicates infection. The white cell count will also be high.
3. Need to get a culture and sensitivity test to identify appropriate antibiotics for treatment. Avoid antibiotics or analgesics, which can affect kidney.
4. Take plenty of water. Repeat the test after completing the antibiotic dose treatment regimen to make sure, there is no infection. Need to take better care, to avoid future infections with good hydration and blueberry and cranberry juice.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
