I am a 57 year old female, weigh 112lbs, 5 3 tall. When I was 20, I got Bells Palsy and had to have surgery to reduce pressure on my facial nerve. When the doctor used the saw to cut the bone away, he accidently touched my inner ear and left me deaf and with a constant buzz. Is there any new treatment or surgery that can reduce or remove the buzz.
The symptoms are suggestive of a condition called tinnitus.
As a first line management you can try drugs like Betahistine for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.
