Suggest Treatment For Changing In Thyroid Hormone Levels
Good Morning I have been taken synthroid medicine for 24 years and just read an articile on Armour thyroid medicine. My levels have been going up and down on my readings, should i switch to Armour. There is
also my chronic hives I have had for the last 13 years and not being able to lose weight. I am 53 years old, 5,3 and 150 lbs, i have always managed my weight, but for the last 10 years have had a problem losing. Also being tried, should i try Armour at this stage

If you have had problems losing wheight this can be a sign that your dose of Synthroid is not enough and maybe you have been in hypothyroidism for most of the time.The oscillation of thyroid test level must be taken in consideration because it is very important to understand the reason of this event.
My question for you are :
Have you taken this drug everyday before breakfast?
Have you been correct with the exact dose of Synthroid that your treating doctor has prescribed to you?
Has your doctor ever changed the dose of Synthroid after the thyroid tests?
If the answer of this questions are yes than ,yes,in in my opinion you can try Armour that is a natural product made from animal thyroid glands (usually a pig's).Anyway i suggest you to talk with your treating doctor.
