Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain

my chest has been hurting for the past 3 days. it is not a constant pain, but a pain that comes and goes. each day the pain increases in frequency. it hurts in the middle of my sternum. i have not noticed any food or drink, any position of laying, standing or sitting, any time of the day that will cause it to happen or be worse.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. As you having a chest pain in middle of chest you should rule out a cardiac cause of it by doing an ECG and a chest X ray if needed. If that is clear and you have a chest pain with pain on palpation over rib area it is most likely Costochondritis. For that in my patients i treat with anti inflammatory gels of diclofenac or nimusulide for local application. Those who have more pain i prescribe the oral tablets of same also.If no improvement after this then i recommend local injection of corticosteroids or anesthetics.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
