Suggest Treatment For Child Suffering From Absence Seizures

Hello, my daughter is 3 1/2 years old and was diagnosed with abscense seizures at 2 years of age. She has been seeing worms for 3 weeks. Her neurologist is increasing her meds and that is it. When I inform the Dr. that the hallucinations are getting worse he pushes us off to the Pediatrician, the Pediatrician pushes us off to the Psychologist. When calling the Nuerologist again they send us to the Psychiatrist!!!! What can I do???? No one wants to help. I called Childrens Hospital and they will not get us into the Psychiatrist until September! It is only June,,,,what can we do?? Thanks--Brandy

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Sometimes such things do happen and that may be a part of her disease. The best person to tackle is a psychiatrist as he said. Until then the neurologist can offer some help. Kindly discuss with him. Or, try to meet a child psychologist for the time being.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
