I have a chronic constipation problem and pain in lower left stomach. When I do have a movement with/without laxative it is very small stool and sometimes explosive diahrea. I was very injured on my left side last December and this problem has persisted?

Hello,

As a first line management, you can take laxatives like lactulose for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a physician and plan for a CT or MRI to rule out possible causes like bowel related problems like structure or growth.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
