Suggest Treatment For Chronic Fatigue , Fibromyalgia And Thyroid

I am 20 and so embarrassed by my issue, I have no where to turn. I have a couple medical problems: Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Hypothyroidism. Recently I began noticing I had to urinate more an more frequently but when I went to the bathroom could not manage more than a couple drops. I thought perhaps I had a UTI but then my symptoms began to worsen and do not seem to match. My urine dose not burn and after a while I began to notice that after urination I achieved a pleasurable sensation as if I had been holding it for hours. Now I am having full blown orgasmic sensations that last all day long and seem to be getting worse. I am also have a pain in my abdomen as well as having trouble with bowel movements. I have scoured the internet and have found everything from PGAD to vaginal prolapse (based on the fact my uterus is tilted) Still while some symptoms matched they did not completely seem to fit. At first I didn t want to go to a Doctor because I hoped it would go away but it has been days now and it is worsening.

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,

You have a variety of symptoms that( in my opinion) are not related to your conditions (Fibromyalgia, Hypothyroidism, and Chronic fatigue syndrome).

It is true that it can be a condition called Persistent genital arousal disorder.

Other potential causes that can explain your actual symptoms are neuropsychological conditions, pelvic pathology or certain medications.

My advice for you is to consult a local doctor(ob-gyn if possible) because it is necessary to do first a pelvic ultrasound to check for pelvic pathologies that can explain your symptoms.

If pelvic pathologies are excluded, then the consult with a psychiatrist and specific therapies like numbing gels. electroconvulsive therapy or specific medications (Clomipramine, Fluoxetine) may be necessary to treat the condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Elona Xhardo, Endocrinologist
