Suggest Treatment For Chronic Hip Pain And Bursitis

I am wondering what the next step would be with my chronic groin, hip pain? It began 8 months ago with a sudden twist to the left and a huge pop sensation in my right groin. I ve had an MRI of my hip, ct of abd and pelvis, PT, ortho consult I think I have a sports herniation. My pain has worsened in 8 months and now I walk with a limp and have now been diagnosed with bursitis from limping. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to bursitis, probably due to overuse. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest cold compresses for local application. I recommend to do gentle stretching exercises for relieve.

Hope my answer was helpful. If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
