Suggest Treatment For Chronic Low Grade Fever , Dizziness And Loss Of Appetite

My mom has had a low grade fever for 3 weeks with dizziness or pressure in her head and left ear every single morning along with loss of appetite. In the afternoon it s usually lifted and only eats because she knows she has to. She s been to emergency room twice and multiple doctors and still no answers. Any ideas?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history related to your Mother who has low grade fever for 3 weeks, dizziness, in her head and the left ear every morning along with loss of appetite. Has been to ER twice and numerous Doctors but still no answer.

With the history your have provided about your Mother this looks to be due to involvement of something in the brain that is causing all the symptoms, can be a tumor or meningitis.

I would advise her the following:
MRI of the brain and the mastoids.
Tests of blood: Routine, widal for typhoid, malaria and so on.
Clinical evaluation by a Doctor and a reference to the ENT to see for the causes in the ear.
A course of an antibiotic and symptomatic treatment may help her.
IF the investigations show up something positive to get it treated according to the reports.
I find this answer helpful
