Hello,

You are suffering from pain in the right side of the left shoulder blade. You also have chronic left arm pan. Upper left arm pain may be due to a problem in the bones, frozen shoulder, muscles, ligaments or tendons (tendonitis), bursitis in the shoulder. Your symptoms may be indicative of medical conditions like heart attack, stroke, pancreatitis or referred pain from the neck or a pinched nerve.

You can take acetaminophen, one stat after food to get relieve from pain and discomfort. Apply pain relieving ointments and sprays. Warm compression and gentle massage may help. Get clinically examined by a GP, get X-ray, if required MRI / CT done to detect the pathology causing symptoms so that the treatment can be started at the earliest. Get CBC, lipid function tests, echo, EKG, stress tests, etc., done to detect CAD, coronary artery disease. You will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
