Suggest Treatment For Chronic Pancreatitis And COPD

I have had chronic pancreatitis for 23 years. The last 2 month s it has gotten worse. The Dr. day s my pancreatic duct is closed off. He wants to cut the bad part off and detach to collan. I am almost 66 years old. I have COPD, and a few other Heath problem s . I would like your opinion.

Since the pain and other symptoms are worsening then you would have to balance these complaints and risk of worsening symptoms against the possible cons of the procedure.

With the history of COPD and other chronic illnesses , there is increased risks associated with the procedure but it is possible that your surgeon and anesthesiologist may be able to minimize these risks, this would need to be discussed.
COPD may affect the level of oxygen during the procedure depending on the severity.
