Suggest Treatment For Chronic Prostatitis And Urinary Incontinence
I am male, 25 years old, I have chronic prostatitis for the last five years and since a month I have been having flank pains around the area near the kidneys with frequent and foamy urination. I went to a urologist two weeks ago and he did an USG on the bladder and kidneys. He said that the bladder and kidneys are inflammed, but did not specifically mention if it is nephritis or pyleonephritis. I have no fever. The doctor prescribed me Ciprofloxacinum 500 mg to be taken once a day. The only noticable thing is that I have been loosing weight although I eat regularly and I don t experience any loss of apetite. It has been well since I take the antibiotics, however, today, the flank pain returns, especially on the left kidney area, with frequent urination. I am still in the course of taking my antibiotics. Any suggestion what should I do and what it could be?

Based on facts of your query, You seem to suffer from-
UTI with Chronic Prostatitis with Incontenance of urine.
Loss in weight is from the toxic effects from UTI.
Treatments-
Tab Ciplox 500 mg x 2 per day x 2-6 weeks in some cases gives good control on all these complaints.
Add Tab Tamsulosin( alpha blocker-which relaxes smooth muscles in prostate) to increase the smooth urinary flow.
Tab Bentyl 1 x 2 times per day would reduce the frequency and urge from urethritis and seminal vesiculitis along with Ciplox.
If no relief- Ceftriaxone-1 gm I/V twice a day x 10 days/ or with Inraprostatic injections-2 gms infusions a day/ with hyaluronic acid would give more access of antibiotic in fibrosed tissue of chronic prostatitis.
