Hi,My name is hasmida, I m suffered chronic tennis elbow, I m not tennis player, last year I already had cortisone injection, but last May the pain getting worse, now i m received physiotherapy treatment, is there any way to heal my tennis elbow like food supplement.Thank you
No, Hasmida, it is not possible to heal it with food supplement. As it is due to degeneration of the fibers in the muscles of the elbow, it is more common in sports man but also seen in house wives. As you already tried hot fomentation, steroid and tennis band so I think now there is only one option is left in your case and that it surgery. It is a minor procedure in which all damaged fibers are removed from that part and then fresh appearing fibers are replaced with the help of suture anchors. It hardly take ten to fifteen minutes and after that your elbow is kept in the splint for six weeks. You need to do physiotherapy after that and ususaly results are quite satisfactory.
