Suggest Treatment For Cold And Chest Congestion In An Infant

My 9mo old has had a cold for about a week.. I was in to see a docor tuesday and they said it was most likely only viral. Well the cough has gotten to the point where it so bad he can t breath when he has a fit i have been using saline solution for hid nose along with a snot sucker and vicks vapor machine with vicks in it. It seems as though it s not helping anymore and I am worried and want to know if I should take him in now or wait till monday

it's recommended that he is hospitalised for the same as monitoring of oxygen saturation is important and conditions like bronchiolitis can be severe
