I am having what I consider to be a cold and my chest has been congested as well as my nose. Sometimes when I breath it feels like I am breathing in smoke from a fire. So my question is might this be and it has been going on for 4 weeks if this helps.
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. In my opinion, you are mostly having post infectious bronchitis. It is common after viral upper respiratory tract infection (cold). Bronchitis is inflammation of airways. And it gives feeling of hot and warm on inhalation. So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). PFT will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only. You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS). Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
