Suggest Treatment For Cold And Shivering

I experience occassionally feeling cold, followed by an intense and often painful shivering. It can take anywhere from 10-30 min and sometimes have to put three blankets over me to warm up. I am 50 yo, defiitely in the throws of change of life. I rarely have hot flashes, but do also experience intense bouts of nausea. I wonder if this is all related to change of life. However, the painful shivering is becoming debilitating when it occurs. Thank you.

Hello dear,welcome to HCM forum.
Menopause will never cause chills and rigors.
This needs definite evaluation to rule out any ongoing systemic infection.Nausea also points towards this.
Kindly see your doctor for evaluation. You may be asked for investigations like blood routine examination, urine examination etc.

Hope this answer will help.
Wishing you good health
Thank you.
