Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain cold occurs commonly due to Upper respiratory tract infection also known as Common cold and it is a viral infection..
As viral infection does not subside with anti viral medication, and resolves once the virus completes its cycle, therefore the treatment given is to relieve the symptoms..
I would suggest you to start taking anti-allergics like benadryl or Levocetrizine, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, mucolytics like Ambroxol, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Do warm saline gargles, steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room..
You can use decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline to relieve congestion..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods and take a soft diet..
Drink plenty of water and preferably warm water and other warm fluids..
You should take a soft diet and ample of rest..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
