Suggest Treatment For Complete Deafness In Elders

Hello,

My mother (age 56 yrs) having almost complete deafness since last 3 years. Initially she got rapid pain in her inner ear and when we consult doctor, he can not recognize the symptoms and gave us some medicine, nothing happened and rapidly in few weeks her deafness got increased and as of now the report says that she has 85% deafness in right ear and 100% in left ear. At that time she was not even able to walk straight because she got misbalanced body and was not even able to walk straightly. Gradually she able to walk straightly but still not like a common walk. We consult many local ENT specialist and neurologist in our city (vadodara, Gujarat) but after a year of starting medicine we stopped to intact unnecessary medicines.

But still her deafness has not reduced and still she is not able to listen to anything.

I consult my friend (who is studying medicine) says this might be a case of MEINIER’S DISEASES and ask me to reduce her salt intact.

If you can give any email id of yours I can also send you Bilateral Profound report to you. Please Please suggest me what cause of this and any medicine to reduce her deafness.

Thanks for all your support and coordination.

Thanks for contacting HCM

I am sorry to hear about your mother and her recent change in hearing and dizziness. I agree with you friend that your mother had Meniere's disease which causes dizziness and loss of hearing. The loss of hearing is permanent and can not be corrected with hearing aids. Meniere's may also leave loud ringing in the ears that can also be very annoying.

Hope this answers your question. Please contact us again with your concerns.
