I am 81 yr old. Mentally healthy, but have Neuro Sarcoidosis. Am now on Prednesone AND Imuran. Other drugs to off set the side effect of those. Jan 18th I had test done for osteoporosis. It showed very little bone density to make it short. I was prescribed Vit. D3. by my Sarcoidosis Dr. I take several vitimins and minerals as listed on my prescriptions list given to all Dr. on visit. He prescribed D3 capsule of 10,000 IU each with 5 capsules to a bubble carton daily for 5 weeks. I checked my Calcium and it incudes 800 IU of D3 Vit. My Magnisuim includes 400 IU of D3. This makes 11,200 IU daily that I have taken since 1/25/17. I have had one bad dizzy spell this week. Increased constipation (was taking Senna for the constipation from other med.) More weakness (was on a walker before). More anxiety (am taking clonazepam 1mg daily for the other meds and problems I have). Do I need to stop the D3 altogether or go to the recommended dose of follow-up of 2 capsules weekly of 10,000 IU.
