Suggest Treatment For Constipation And Insomnia

My daughter has had bowel changes and now complete constipation only relieved every four days after using sodium Picosulphate this started 8 months ago. Past two to three months she had reactive lymph nodes all over..small and tender...negative for all viral tests...now last two week developed bone pain worse in thoracic spine with palpable pain on vertebrae and hips pelvis and legs. Platelets raised, wbc normal, cancer markers and alp and calcium normal. She has had eight months of abdompain but this has eased and bone pain is prominent feature. She is exhausted, insomnia eight months. I am convinced she has a rare colon cancer as she is only 23 . Would it be likely she has mucin out adenocarcinoma of colon with metas tic spread to bones. Past few days the thoracic ain has worsened and she has to force urine flow and has sensation changes to skin on her belly and legs, says it just feels sore or like sunburn. She is due to have colonoscopy in a week but no one has looked at her properly as I think they just see a 23 year old and do not understand then potential of process if it is this type of cancer. Mehta should we do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As your daughter has chronic constipation, you can give him syrup Duphalac at night. Kindly, do colonoscopy as you already due for that to rule out any other possibilities. Cause of insomnia may be chronic constipation. So after resolving constipation, may she get good sleep.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale,
