Suggest Treatment For Constipation In Children

Hi, my one year old has been constipated for the past two days, we tried giving him prune juice and he wont drink it. Is there anything else we can give him? Its getting to the point where if he tries to poop he just screams and crys cause it hurts and nothing comes out

You may try Dulcolax suppository for immediate relief.
Lactulose given 2 times daily may help alleviating constipation.
Reduce milk or milk substitutes and give him highresidue and fiber containing foods.
Give him plenty of fluids and juicy fruits (not fruit juice)
