Suggest Treatment For Constipation

Hi my mother i law is in heart failure, is very weak & has a full bowel that she is having trouble with, they gave her some novacane orally today. Is her bowel problem because she is so weak that her body is having trouble functioning properly will this medicine give her some relief ?

hi,welcome to HCM
considering her medical status the problem of constipation is very likely.
i would suggest to add adequate fibers in diet, like carrots,beet root, cucumber, etc. it will help to increase the gastric motility and improve constipation problem. Syrup of lactulose 2-3 tsp every night for three days will provide some relief, it usually act as stool softeners.
