Suggest Treatment For Constipation

I have a 3 yr old daughter who has suffered from constipation for a long time now, I have been unable to potty train so far, did I mention she is a twin, both twins have some minimal speach delays but as far as the doctors are concerned no other issues. Any way her brother is also not potty trained but no issues popping. She consumes large amounts of milk, I do give plenty of water, encourage fruit and veges, she refused most starches, eats a wide variety of meats. I have resorted to laxatives when she begins to get uncomfortable. Cold you offer any other suggestions, I've tried to cut the quanity of milk but it made us both miserable.

Hi
first and the fore most step is.

Drastic change in life style is required.
-Not exercising enough, not drinking enough water and delaying a bowel movement can worsen situation.
-Give her a natural and simple diet.
-Fruits and vegetables, which contain high amounts of fiber, should be added to your diet ,Whole-grain bread, bran, oatmeal, beans and lentils can also relieve the problem so use it Instead of highly processed rice, eat brown rice, millet.
-Take Fybogel husk-Fybogel sachets and Fybogel Hi-Fibre sachets both contain the active ingredient ispaghula husk, which is a type of medicine called a bulk-forming laxative. Ispaghula is a type of fibre. It swells when it comes into contact with fluid in the gut and thus increases the volume of the faeces. It increases the bulk in your stool, an effect that helps to cause movement of the intestines. It also works by increasing the amount of water in the stool, making the stool softer and easier to pass.
-While sitting on the toilet, support the feet on a small stool in order to achieve a normal position that aids in bowel movement.
-
-ask her to drink at least eight glasses of water daily. Water helps push the food through the intestines and also helps lubricate intestinal tissues. When the body is dehydrated, the intestines absorb the fluids from the food waste, which in turn leads to hardened stools.
-Can take 5 ml of lactulose every night for few days to soften stools.if motion become loose doses can be further decreased.

Follow up after a week.
