Suggest Treatment For Constipation,bloating And Over Weight Due To UC?

hi, i am 49 yrs old, female, have UC since jan 2008. i am often constipated, bloated and seem to be gaining weight rather than ''looking sick''. People can't beleive that i have UC. am wondering why these conditions are happening. Have never had a relapse since 2008 but do watch what i eat: NO corn, garlic, rich or spicy foods, in moderation apple peels and salad. I am wondering if i actually have UC or something else. am on mezavant 4 pills /day, salofalk suppository +/- 3/ week, laxaday and metamucil and ducosate (rotate these meds 7 days a week)

Hi, I have read your query and according to me you should get your blood test for thyroid profile and blood sugar.If you are taking steroid then you should stop & this may be the cause of gaining weight.
