Suggest Treatment For Cough, Fever, Chills, Chest Pain, Fatigue And Breathlessness
Hi, My name is Krystal, I been sick for 1 week already. I had a cough, fever, chills, weakness, and very tired. I am now having chest pains and its hard for me to breathe. I feel shortness of breath. I can move around fine but I get lightheaded. My chest hurts really bad when I cough, Should I go into the hospital???
Yes, You should go to the hospital. Your symptoms suggestive of possible lower respiratory tract infection.
For that, you need to investigate with Digital chest X-ray and spirometry if needed for further work up.
You can be prescribed antibiotic and decongestant course. If bronchoconstriction evident on spirometry and chest examination than bronchodilator drug need to be prescribed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
