Suggest Treatment For Coughing, Chills, Sweating, Migraine And Sleep Deprivation

Yes, my symptoms started Wednesday night, coughing, chills, sweating, migraine, sleeping a lot and low grade fever on and off. I recently had lyme decease and had no symptoms with it, but I am wondering these are lyme symptoms. I did go to my dr but she dismissed it as lyme and said it s a virus. I want to double check. Thanks.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of coughing, chills, sweating, headache, low grade fever and sleeping a lot, had Lyme disease recently without any symptoms. The Doctor dismissed this as Lyme;s and said this too be a virus.
The easiest way is to get the relevant blood tests for CBC, Lyme's and as needed as these will help to settle the diagnosis and help in proper medications.
With the symptoms that you have mentioned this looks to be a viral disease and thus needs symptomatic treatment with Paracetamol, cough syrup and as needed.
If the blood tests or so are indicative of any bacterial infection your Doctor will surely add on the antibiotic and other medications as needed.
Take full bed rest to have early and proper recovery.
Take plenty of oral fluids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
