Suggest Treatment For Cystitis And Vaginal Soreness
I am 62 fit but get really bad vaginal soreness but also cystitis ll the time most non bacterial don t want to use her as I have dvt And stroke in family Tried everything but nothing works at the end of my rope can t cope anymore is there anything else I can do soul destroying Thank you
I have gone through your medical history carefully and am sorry for the situation you are in.
You are reporting to have a bad vaginal soreness including cystitis, and that was determined as non-bacterial.
This makes me think over possible: - vaginal thrush (candida infection) - diabetes - hormonal changes at your age
If you were my patient, I'd advise to run: - vaginal swab testing and culture to rule out candida thrush - diabetes testing (fasting blood sugar, HbA1C) - measure hormonal levels in the blood
in order to determine the right treatment. For the moment, I highly recommend to keep a good hygiene of your genitalia and to avoid foods/drinks high in carbohydrates.
Hope it was of help! Dr.Albana
