General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Dark stool can be caused by a haemorrhage in the gastrointestinal tract. I recommend you to do a stool test and a complete blood count. I also recommend consulting a gastrologist for further evaluation and specific treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
