General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First we should determine what is causing dehydration to your sister:
- as it is not enough humidity, means there is high temperature; she might experience profuse sweating
- lack of vitamins? Calcium? Vitamin D? Zinc? Magnesium?
- reduced blood sugar levels? should get them monitored
- thyroid problems? should run thyroid function test

With regards to home remedies for dehydration, yes, drinking plenty of water and gatorade and fluids will be helpful. Furthermore, she should add oral rehydration salts to plain water and drink twice daily.
Should take magnesium, zinc, calcium, and vitamin D3 supplement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
