Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Urination And Bowel Movement

I am unable to urinate, this has been going on for at least 36 hrs, and im also unable to have a bowel movement going on 3 days now, I do not want to go to the hospital although my wife insists, is there anything I can do to keep from goin to the hospital, I have tried drinking more water, I took a shower, and have been running water in the sink while I try to use the restroom and nothing has worked. my lower stomach on my left side and back is also hurting.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of unable to urinate for 6 hours in spite of drinking more water, taking shower, running water in sink and also have not passed motion for 3 days.
This is an emergency.
First of all, go to ER urgently.
Ultrasound will show many a things including the amount of urine in the bladder and the genito-urinary system.
Also needed are the tests of blood, particularly for CBC and PSA
If the bladder is gull due to obstruction of any sort, you will be first tried t put a catheter through the urethra, if it fails they may go for supra-pubic cystostomy.
Further management will depend upon the findings.
Do not try anything at home as you have tried the correct things, Do not wait for the complications to occur, rush to ER.
