Suggest Treatment For Dizziness After Taking Corenitec
I take corenitec, have done for years, I have dizziness badl y when I stand up, can not move for fear of blacking out, sometimes feel sick, it passes, could be this medication. I take ciprimal and metformin and celetapram for diabeties and depression. thanks Jacqui
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Corenitec is a combination of enalapril maleate and hydrochlorothiazide 20 mg/12.5 mg tablets. You are probably having postural hypotension-may be drug induced or hyponatraemia due to hydrochlorothiazide. Common side effects of citalopram include drowsiness, blood pressure changes. You have to undergo measurement of BP on lying and standing position to rule out postural hypotension.Secondly in your case serum electrolyte has to measured to rule out hyponatraemia.Drug/dose adjustment of anti-hypertensive drug will be needed as per fresh evaluation as suggested.
