Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And Brain Contusions Caused After An Injury
A couple days ago I came up a flight of stairs, became dizzy, sick to my stomach and out of breath. I felt like I was going to pass out and vomit. Since than my brain feels bruised on one side and I am not staying asleep at night. Any idea of what it may be? Should I go for a check up? Male, 59 y/o, heart issues in the family history
Feelings of being dizzy, out of breath and nauseous can happen due to sudden shock of fall and impact of trauma.
If you have not vomited since, not feeling dizzy, and if pain is decreasing as time passes, you can wait for the trauma to heal by itself and do not need ti rush to the hospital. You can take Acetaminophen 500 mg or Ibuprofen 400 mg to find relief from pain.
However, if you had vomited after fall or vomiting now and still feeling dizzy, then it could be a sign of head injury that needs immediate expert attention so you should rush to the hospital for x-ray and CT scan.
I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic.
