Suggest Treatment For Dizziness, Nausea And Extreme Fatigue

Hello, about six months ago I went to my neurologist for the following symptoms: ascending numbness that started at my feet and ended at my chin, flu like symptoms - dizziness, nausea, extreme fatigue. My Dr was sure I had MS. I got an MRI of my brain and spine and it was negative. The Dr said it could have been a mild case of Guillian Barre or a weird reaction to a virus. I started feeling better with in a month and went right back into teaching 10 intense fitness classes a week. This past week I had a relapse. The numbness ascended, along with the flue like symptoms. This time was not as bad as the first occurrence. I am scared of not knowing what it is. Guilliane Barre very rarely comes back. Could me going right back into intense exercise cause a relapse? Is there some other Neurological thing that causes numbness like this? I have read that Aspertame Poisoning can mimic several diseases, including MS. Could aspertame poisoning mimic symptoms as severe as mine? I also have achy muscles, at times I feel that my legs are on fire (nerves healing?). I have eliminated Aspertame from my diet and am trying to eat very clean. I don t know if that is a coincidence or not. I am starting to feel a lot better but am scared of it recurring. Thank you for your time!

Hello,

You are presently having ascending numbness. You also had dizziness, nausea and extreme fatigue. Aspartame triggers neurological symptoms like chronic fatigue, dizziness, confusion, migraine, memory loss, unsteadiness, etc. It can cause serious neurological problems. Avoid taking food that contains aspartame. Your MRI report did not detect MS. Presently your doctor suspects you are suffering from mild Guillain barre syndrome.

Patients with such symptoms do recover, you are suggested to take food rich in vitamin B6, B12, Vitamin C, vitamin E and minerals. You can also take supplements. Keep your blood glucose level and blood pressure under control. Take care of your feet. Do regular exercises under a Physical therapist. Get Nerve conduction velocity and required imaging tests done. You will be accordingly treated with B12 push and few weeks of treatment via IV route.

To prevent fatigue get good sleep (at least 8 hours) a day (at night). Avoid dehydration, take adequate water. If obese, loose weight, maintain healthy weight. Take smaller meals more frequently during the day. This may help you to maintain your blood sugar level. Since you are feeling dizzy, take rest avoid driving and do not do any heavy work. Take healthy home made balanced food, avoid stress and addiction if any. Prefer to take plant proteins over animal proteins.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
