Suggest Treatment For Dry Skin And A Rash On The Arm And Legs
Hi i am an unsocial who suffers from postural othostatic tachycardia syndrome. Friday, i had to leave work early because i felt my body shutting omg down. Which is normal. However, i am a little worried that it could be more. No much how many bottles of water i drink (only cure for it) i don’t feel better. My skin is dry i get rashes. And it’s hard to handle. I just took a bath and my skin burned bad. I have a rash on my arm and legs. My doctor is aware of my condition but until Monday morning i can’t call to make an appointment. Is there a way to ask for several tests to be done?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history of dry rashes, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetrizine.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroid, Hydroxyzine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
