What Would Be Causing Patchy Dry Skin Rash ?

Hello, my 3.5 year old has very dry patchy skin. It flares up every so often. It is quite bad at the moment. It is around her tummy, lower back, the odd patch on her upper arm, her hand, and a patch on her face . I have tried every cream on the market and nothing is clearing it. Would u have any suggestions as to what would be causing it. Should i take her to a dermatologist .

Hi Sandra, Welcome to Healthcaremagic!
Symptoms you describe, suggest that your kid is suffering from Atopic dermatitis, which is a common eczematous skin condition. I advice to use coconut oil or olive oil all over his/her skin after bath & meanwhile you may also start some antihistamine syrup like Cetirizine. For proper management, & care, a Dermatologist's consultation is a must. Good luck.
