Suggest Treatment For Elevated Cholesterol, Glucose And SGPT Levels In Blood

hello doctor, its been more than a week that I am not feeling well. I went to medicine dept opd for consult,instructed to get cholesterol, sugar, urinalysis test, ...but a few days after I started getting cough, runny nose, throat problem. and I went to the emergency room where I was found to have lung infection and prescribed amoxyclav...am my last day of amoxiclav today being the seventh day and took 500 mg of it ..3 times a day.. but I am still getting occasional coughing, ..now i got my lab result showed high cholesterol, glucose and sgpt...do I have hepatitis or what should I do next?

Hi welcome to HCM.
Lung infections can occasionally lead to elevations of SGPT.This does not mean hepatitis per se.It will subside with time.Elevated cholesterol should be treated in your case with diet and drugs if needed.Regular physical exercise and limitation of fat diet leads to correction of the lipid abnormalities.Statins are needed in refractory cases.The cough in your case will subside as the infection resolves completely.Elevated blood sugar needs anti diabetic drugs to manage.Consult your cardiologist for further help.
