Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Prostrate Without Surgery

Hi Dr. I am 59 years old male. Four years before I had first degree enlarged prostate weighing 34 g. Last month when I had ultrasound it was same size weighing 33g. Is there any way to treat it without going under surgery? Please suggest if I need any medication I ahve not used yet.

Hi and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist,i can understand your anxiety.
Your symptoms decide the need for surgery,not the weight of the prostate.
You've not written any symptom and which of them are most bothersome.
All Urologists go by a symptom score of the patient,to decide the treatment.
Medication is always first line of treatment, in prostate gland enlargement.
Most common treatment is an alfa blocker drug.
